Danilo is a very warm person. He welcomed us at check in and made us feel at home immediately. His Airbnb is one of a kind. The room, the garden and the proximity to Lucca make this a highly recommended destination.

Words can not express our joy and gratitude with our apartment. Danilo and Grace are the BEST Hosts we have ever encountered. We travel often to Europe and within the US. Danilo has now set the bar so high I can not imagine another Host exceeding our expectations. The apartment is stunning. Their English Garden is incredible. Bed very comfy.

Danilo went above and beyond with anything we needed. He delivered sweets every morning in a beautiful pewter serving tray. I had a medical issue. Danilo gave us the Doctors information. The Doctor made a house call (unheard of in the US). Danilo even offered to go to the pharmacy for me.

Danilo made several restaurant recommendations. He also called the restaurants and made reservations for us. Our dinner experience at La Cecca was magical. As we said good bye to Danilo and Grace they gifted us with a jar of homemade jam. We hugged each other like family and I walked away with a happy/ sad tear. Happy to have made new friends and sad that we are leaving Tuscany. This is our 4th trip to Tuscany. We LOVE the beauty of the country, the food and most importantly the people. Ciao until our next visit.

Beautiful and magical is how I would describe our stay in Lucca with Danilo. During our travels, we’ve stayed at several great air b&b’s, but this place surpassed all our expectations. The house and gardens were gorgeous and we felt like we were staying in a fairytale. The decorative artistic touches in every room were inspiring and romantic. We stayed several days and thoroughly enjoyed having an extremely comfortable king size bed, along with an outstanding hot tub to soak in every day. Our hosts provided us with everything we needed and even more than we expected. They offered us restaurant recommendations, all of which were terrific, and they even took care of making the reservations for us. We had complete privacy yet felt like we were staying with friends.

Wow, if you ever head to Lucca which you must then this traditional Tuscan Villa is absolutely magical. Right on the Aquaduct and a shortish walk to the township this property immerses you in the local culture and has all the amenities you need to have the most stunning stay. Danilo was so helpful, provided lots of advice and really helped make our stay in Lucca one of the most memorable of our entire trip. You must stay here!

A wonderful stay at Danilo’s apartment. Amazing local restaurant recommendations and where to explore around the area. We didn’t drive and a bit worried to travel around the area, but it’s super easy to arrange reasonable priced pick-ups with Danilo to/ from Lucca city center. The jacuzzi in the apartment is a life-saver after a long day, and the kitchen is well-equipped for self-cooking. Top class mattress and beddings provided, we slept really well during the stay. And the apartment overlook a beautiful garden which gives us good mood first thing in the morning. Also, it’s peaceful to just walk around the apartment, away from all the hustle. Overall, it’s a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend to family and friends. Thank you Danilo for the great hospitality and providing this amazing place for us to stay.

Such a fantastic place! Danilo’s house is beautiful, close to amazing walks and the city of lucca (20-30min along an old aqueduct). Danilo is lovely: booked us a restaurant on the first night and sent interesting messages about the things we had seen during the day. Highly recommend and would stay again!

the hosts are a lovely italian family, very welcoming, extremely helpful. very responsive at all stages, always eager to help. offered some great recommendations on local restaurants and other. the area is just beautiful, just 15 minutes from Lucca, which is a tranquil pictursque town. also the location is very handy for other attractions, just 30minutes from Pisa tower and 1 hour from Florence. the apartment has been given lots of love and attention by the hosts, esp. so by hostess Grazia who has decorated it we particularly loved the jacuzzi which is much bigger than it shows in the pictures

Just as advertised. Great place to stay while visiting the wonderful town of Lucca. Host will offer some wonderful suggestions for everything be sure to take him up on it.

Sidrak welcomed us with coffee and ice cream and walked us through the apartment at check in, which we really appreciated. There were a lot of small touches in the Airbnb and the hot tub was amazing! Sidrak went above and beyond to provide recommendations and set up reservations. We enjoyed a wine tasting and lunch at Poggio and saw a beautiful sunset in Monte Carlo. The apartment is located close to both places along with a short ride to Pisa and Lucca’s city center. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a romantic getaway!

This place is every dream, thought, and movie you have ever seen about Tuscany - an absolute fairytale! Do not hesitate to book! From the warm welcome, to the iron gate and garden walk path, and straight into the lavishly decorated apartment, it feels like you have stepped into another world. Every thoughtful detail shows the loving care Danilo and Grazia have put into the space. Everything is impeccably clean, romantically decorated, and includes all the amenities you need for a lovely stay. The bed was so comfortable and the AC and Jacuzzi worked perfectly! Danilo checked on us regularly and made sure we always had everything we needed. It is obvious they love providing this service, and they do it with joy and grace. They are both kind and accommodating - greeting us upon arrival, assisting us with an unexpected late checkin in, making recommendations and even booking things for us, allowing us to extend our stay, helping us with an issue that arose with a local driver, and sending us off with a special gift to remember them and their beautiful home. Lucca is a perfect home base, and this is a magical apartment with an incredible host. Book this one! You will be so glad you did!

When you picture "rustic Tuscany" in your mind, it is likely this apartment you are imagining without even knowing it. The apartment is charming and comfortable, the surrounding area beautiful and stunning. The property manager, Danilo, was an outstanding host and went out of his way to help make our stay perfect. Every request was promptly fulfulled and every recommendation provided was exquisite. This was the ideal location for a romantic Tuscan getaway. Pro Tip: if coming during the warm months, bring some bug spray.

Super mooie authentieke accommodatie op een perfecte locatie als uitvalsbasis voor verkenning van Toscane. Heel schoon, sfeervol authentiek, jacuzzi was top. Gastheer en familie waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kortom een ideale vakantiepark en zeker een aanrader.

We had an amazing stay. The instructions and communication were really clear before check in. We had a lovely welcome from Grazia who met us and made us coffee and showed us around. The apartment is very uniquely decorated and has beautiful views and is in a great location for the exploring the area. Danilo was really helpful recommending restaurants and generally making us feel really welcome. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Danilo and his wife were incredibly gracious hosts, greeting us with a drink upon arrival and helping arrange reservations at some really great restaurants around Lucca. The apartment was very charming and comfortable. The hot tub is cleaned using oxygen tablets, preventing it from smelling like chlorine indoors while still keeping the tub clean.

This air B and B was the most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed in. It’s a magical place a little outside of Lucca. We were there for 4 days and fell in love with this place. The jacuzzi was the icing on the cake to the most beautiful spot - I’d come back in a heartbeat. Hospitality was also tremendous and we were helped with booking superb restaurants in town. The perfect spot to explore Tuscany just wish the weather had been warmer!

Really fun and funky place by the aqueduct! Felt like you were in a castle. Easy cute walk to Lucca. Restaurant right down the road was fantastic. We got there right when they opened for dinner and got but it’s very popular and a reservation would be better. Danilo was very easy to communicate with and sent us to a really fun winery where he booked us lunch. Thank you for a great time in Lucca!

Notre séjour était au top. La maison était très propre, tout était prévu dans les moindres détails afin qu'il ne manque rien, que ce soit dans la chambre, le salon, la cuisine... 2 douches, 2 toilettes, tout ce qu'il faut et même plus.Très belle décoration typique, le jacuzzi également très appréciable après nos journées de balade bien remplies. A wonderfull place to stay and in the future and the most beautiful place to have a wedding ceremony and party! The location is asthonishing (with the Roman aquaduct), a view on the mountains. The interior gives you a sense of staying in a castle. After the long walking a Jaccuzzi is waiting for your. And the most important thing: Danilo and his wife Grazia are wonderful people who will give you a special feeling. They even prepare a special and typical Toscan breakfast!

Wir wurden von Gastgeber Danilo herzlichst empfangen. Er hat uns mit einem Cappuccino bei sich begrüßt und uns dann unsere Wohnung gezeigt, die wunderschön war. Durch einen bewachsenen Torbogen ging es in den ersten Stock, wo direkt der Whirlpool auf einen wartet. Hier konnten wir uns nach einer Tour durch Lucca schön entspannen. Die gesamte Wohnung ist sehr hochwertig eingerichtet und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Garten stand uns komplett zur Verfügung. Hier konnten wir uns auf Liegen sonnen und die Ruhe genießen. Besonders schön ist die Lage, man hat einen imposanten Blick auf die direkt anschließende Rundbogenmauer und ins Grüne. Zu Fuß braucht man bis ins Zentrum von Lucca etwa 30-40 Minuten, wenn man langsam geht. Ein schöner Spaziergang immer geradeaus entlang der Rundbogenmauer. Danilo hat sich stets nach unserem Wohlbefinden erkundigt und uns mit Restaurant-Tipps versorgt. Die Reservierungen hat er netterweise für uns übernommen! Am letzen Morgen haben wir seine sehr nette Frau kennengelernt, die uns Frühstück gemacht hat und noch einen Plausch mit uns gehalten hat. Eine rundum tolle Erfahrung in einer ganz tollen Unterkunft! Fantastic stay with the most wonderful hosts. My partner and I have travelled the world for many years together and we have been fortunate to experience both sides of the coin when it comes to the Airbnb lifestyle. This was by far the most pleasant and stress free stay we have ever had. This is down to the care, detail and service that was provided to us by our wonderful hosts. From the outset Danilo and his beautiful wife made us feel like it was our home. From helpful advice, to picking us up from the train station, recommending places to dine and even offering to book our reservations for us we could not believe the service. Even going as far as to prepare for us a goodbye breakfast on our penultimate morning in the lovely garden. A lift back to the train station with our bags, a genuine goodbye, a promise to visit again when we are in the area are not things that one experiences with regularity. Even exchanging texts throughout the remainder of our stay offering further help if needed shows a level of service that, from my perspective, will be unmatched for a long time. Don't think...Just book!! Just the right distance outside of Lucca town to make popping in for a coffee a bit of a trek forced us to relax and embrace the calm of the countryside. Local Pizza joints and restaurants are fantastic value for money. Though, for such a small secluded area the restaurants certainly like to have you make reservations for dinner (at all times). Bravo Danilo. It's been our pleasure.

Charming apartment with lovely view, 10 min drive to historical Lucca center. Very lovely and helpful owners. Perfect location to visit north of Tuscany. We can fully recommend this property.

It was such an amazing trip. We saw this arbnb and we fell in love with apartment. When we came we met owners and they were so lovely. They gave us informations about cityhow to get to city center really fast. We were really happy becouse everything looked exactly like on a photoes. Beautiful bedrooms, well equiped kitchen and amazing view from the window. And what was the best.... hot tub. It was so magical to stay there and we hope to come back there soon. 🙂

Where to start when everything was so perfect? At first: Grazie Grazie mille to the host Danilo and his lovely wife who really made our few days in this apartment so special and great. Next to the pretty and hand-picked interior of the house, the best part of the accommodation was what we would call real Italian hospitality: a welcome snack, nice conversations and coffee & cake for us on Sunday morning. Danilo helped us with such nice tips for the area and thanks to him we had the best Bistecca Fiorentina. All in all it felt like staying with friends. We felt very welcome and it was a pleasure to spent time in this old charming house. Also it was very quiet and relaxing - chilling in a jacuzzi and afterwards in the most comfortable bed with tempur mattress, what does one need more for a personal spa? A perfect apartment for a romantic time together also in autumn / winter. You really just don’t wanna leave if you enter the house once

Wir haben 6 Tage als Familie mit insgesamt 3 Personen in diesem Appartement verbracht. Die Zeit dort hat uns sehr gut gefallen. In den ganzen Jahren, in denen wir bereits Urlaub in Ferienwohnungen oder Häusern machen, hatten wir nie so freundliche und zuvorkommende Gastgeber, wie Danilo und seine Frau. Vom ersten Moment haben wir uns absolut wohl und umsorgt gefühlt. Jede Frage wurde schnell und unkompliziert beantwortet und auch die Tips für Ausflüge und Restaurants waren immer hervorragend. Ein großes Lob für die Gastgeber, die den Balanceakt zwischen Privatsphäre und Fürsorge perfektioniert haben. Die Ferienwohnung ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail historisch eingerichtet worden. Zusammen mit den wunderschönen Aussichten aus den Fenstern fühlt man sich sofort in der Zeit zurückversetzt und schaltet in den Urlaubsmodus. Der Garten ist ideal zum Verweilen und Buch lesen geeignet. Der Blick auf das Aquädukt ist dabei spektakulär. Wir haben dort oft gefrühstückt und den Tag ganz in Ruhe begonnen. Die Wohnung liegt in einer Sackgasse, sodass es keinen Durchgangsverkehr gibt. Vor dem Haus ist eine besondere Mineralwasser-Quelle, an dem das Trinkwasser geholt werden kann. Ein Parkplatz für das Auto ist auch direkt vor dem Haus. Für Ausflüge in die Gegend ist der Ausgangspunkt gut geeignet. Pisa, San Gimignano, der Stand und Florenz sind schnell mit dem Auto zu erreichen. In der Gegend gibt es einige gute Restaurants. Uns hat das Casa delle Rose am besten gefallen. 80 Meter von der Unterkunft entfernt, kann man nach einem sehr guten Essen mit Hauswein bequem am Aquädukt entlang zurück schlendern. Besonders die Meeresfrüchte sind zu empfehlen. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich, wir waren rundum zufrieden. Noch kurz zu den wichtigsten Punkten bei der Ausstattung. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und die Matratzen von hoher Qualität. Ich habe selten so gut gelegen. Es ist sehr sauber und Klimageräte können genutzt werden, falls es zu warm/kalt wird. Alles in allem ein toller Aufenthalt und wir haben uns fest vorgenommen wieder zu kommen.

Il nostro soggiorno vicino Lucca è stato meraviglioso. Con un bimbo piccolo di 8 mesi, avere una casa così spaziosa a disposizione è stato molto comodo. La vasca Jacuzzi è un vero toccasana dopo una giornata di visita alle città vicine. Ottima posizione per visitare Pisa, Lucca, è Viareggio e altri paesi vicini. L'accoglienza di Danilo e sua moglie è stata eccezionale, molto disponibili con noi e con le nostre esigenze. Consigliamo vivamente.

My wife and I stayed for 40 days during Christmas and New Year’s at this lovely apartment and had a wonderful time with the hosts. Even though it was a cold winter, we were able to keep ourselves warm in the jacuzzi, take very hot showers and get good nights of sleep covered with heavy blankets provided in the apartment. This house is truly unique having been carefully renovated and crafted by the hosts. You will have everything you need from a strong wifi, big flat-screen tv, fully equipped kitchen and all the amenities to make for a great stay in Tuscany. The host family was super kind, receiving us with a drink and snacks, offering us gifts and local olive oil, answering all our questions about the region and offering local tips, including when I needed to get my car reviewed by a mechanic. They were always available and going out of their way to make for an amazing experience. If you’re looking for an authentic stay in Tuscany with all the benefits of a 5 star hotel, I would really recommend this house by the aqueduct. A very special accommodation, great location along a beautiful viaduct into Lucca. A place to relax, enjoy the views, eat in rural restaurants that are outstanding, but with easy access to the city. The owners are especially helpful and the nicest family you could meet. We enjoyed our three weeks thoroughly, visits to Florence and Italy were so easy to make,

but we were quite happy to roam around the backstreets of Lucca and relax at home.

The apartment is in a great location with an easy walk into Luccainto the hills along the aqueduct. The apartment is spacious and very clean and the hot tub is amazing. Danilo was great very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, we arrived in Lucca early, so as we couldn’t access the apartment until the cleaners had finished, he met us at the station to collect our bags so we could have a wander around Lucca and not have to carry them. He also made us a lovely breakfast on our last morning, which was served in the garden. He’s there when you need him but otherwise we didn’t see him so you get a sense of privacy. The only suggestions I would have and they are very minor, would be to put hand soap by the sinks and a coffee machine would be good. I would definitely recommend the apartment and would stay there again. Thanks for everything Danilo and I’m still upset we couldn’t take the fabulous olive oil!

We have been lucky to stay at Danilo’s apartment for 4 nights on our honeymoon. The property is very romantic and comfortable. The jacuzzi is also a fantastic treat to relax! We walked every day along the amazing aqueduct in both directions. We really recommend a beautiful restaurant nearby called Micheloni, a 25 minute walk. In Lucca the walk along the city wall is also a must. Our favourite cafe to sit and people watch with a vino bianco is Bar S.Michele!

Danilo, his wife and daughter are perfect hosts and have been so kind to us. Picking us up and taking us back to the railway station was so helpful.

And on our final day, he made us a romantic breakfast in the garden which was the perfect end to our honeymoon.

I recommend that everyone comes here as you’ll have the best time!

My husband and I recently stayed for a week at this beautiful location. It served as a great jumping off point to visit places like Cinque terra, Carrera, and Florence. But with each day trip, coming home to this magnificent apartment was something to look forward to! We also spent a couple of days exploring Lucca and spending time in the beautiful garden and walking along the aqueduct.

The hosts, Danilo and Grazia we’re terrific. Others have noted the lovely breakfast they prepared and the gift of wonderful olive oil specially wrapped and sealed with their logo. In addition to providing great recommendations and making reservations for us, Danilo and Grazia went out of their way t help us with a special problem. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

My husband and I spent our favorite week in Italy in this wonderful apartment. The apartment is located above Danilo's family home. The entire family is fantastically helpful, and accommodating. We didn't want for anything.

From this fantastic location we went on many walks and hikes, checked out Lucca, went for a day in Cinque Terre, quick side trip to Pisa, did a hike around Calci and lunched nearby at a great restaurant named Il Conventino. (Check out the wild boar pasta). Our favorite day was hiking up the aqueduct, lunching in Vorno, and making our way back home on some trails and streets (very useful is: openstreetmaps.org). There are so very many local walks and hikes it is amazing.

The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked, not for gourmet cooking , but for breakfasts and take out pizza dinners fantastic! The living room was very comfortable and inviting. The bedroom was perfect for our one week stay. There are 2 showers - one by the jacuzzi. And 2 bathrooms. The jacuzzi was well maintained and very nice to relax in.

We stayed here in early November and had to use the heat every once in a while. It kept us nice and cozy. The views out the bedroom window is just perfect.

I can't say enough great things about Danilo and his family. One night we were surprised by his daughter carrying a tray with 2 bowls of gelato up to us as a friends gelato shop had closed for the winter. It was delicious!!

I would definitely recommend having a car for this location as it is a drive to most anywhere. Driving here was easy, we rented a car in Florence, it really helped to have our phone GPS and a designated navigator to help with the foreign language issues we had. There is a great parking spot out in front of the apartment.

Can't recommend this apartment enough. You won't be sorry and you may even leave with some great olive oil if you are lucky.
