Palazzo Poggi was the perfect location for a month in Italy with our family celebrating our youngest child's graduation from college. The apartment was just inside the walls, which we walked around almost every day. (The total distance is about 2.5 m显示更多
Palazzo Poggi was the perfect location for a month in Italy with our family celebrating our youngest child's graduation from college. The apartment was just inside the walls, which we walked around almost every day. (The total distance is about 2.5 miles.) Also only ten minutes from the train station, which was perfect for day trips to Pisa, Florence, Cinque Terre and the beach town of Viareggio, which is only 20 minutes away. Lucca is a very walkable town, with most restaurants and shops within 15 minutes of Palazzo Poggi.
The apartment is lovely. The ceilings are about 20' high on the main floor, which also includes two bedrooms with ensuite baths. There's a loft bedroom with a king bed up a spiral staircase, with a low ceiling. Best for kidsshort adults. In the basement are a queen bedroom and another with two twins. These share a bath accessed through the twin bedroom. The mattresses were really comfortable, which isn't often the case. The airconditioning worked and was great to have on some days with temps over 90F. Two comfortable couches and one loveseat. Big table with seating for eight. Excellent internet after a reboot. The kitchen is basic, with a full cooktop, dishwasher, countertop oven and small fridge. The rental agency was responsive with several issues. We'd love to stay here again. Lucca is one of our favorite travel destinations ever. |

Check in was smooth and we really appreciated having the air-conditioning, particularly in the bedrooms. It was a bit uncomfortable in the upper loft as it did not have its own AC unit however, it was understandable give we were there during a heat wave and the main floor unit was not strong enough to maintain the temperature of that space. That being said, this can be easily resolved with a simple ceiling fan. The apartment is located within a short walk of the train station but if you arriving by car, long term parking is a good 15 minute walk away as the historic town of Lucca is a ZTL zone.

Ein schönes Apartment. Hervorzuheben ist die sehr gute Lage. Mitten in der Altstadt. Der Bahnhof ist in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Von dort kommt man bequem nach Pisa, Florenz oder andere Ziele. Die Stadt ist sehr sauber.

Dove profumi e colori infondono calma e serenità L’host ci ha riservato un’accoglienza e un’assistenza eccezionali, dal nostro arrivo alla partenza. Chiara è stata sempre disponibile, ma soprattutto Sidrak, persona gentile e sensibile nel soddisfare le nostre richieste. Non sei solo, puoi sempre contare sulla loro discreta presenza. All’interno di un palazzo storico, l’abitazione è meravigliosa, d’altri tempi, arredata con quel gusto e quella classe che ben si sposano ad una città bellissima e unica come Lucca. Non è uno spartano e moderno appartamentino per quattro giorni di vacanza, è una vera casa nobiliare toscana che ti proietta a un bel po' di anni fa e che arricchisce di fascino il tuo soggiorno. Ogni pezzo d’arredo merita attenzione e rispetto. E’ dotata inoltre di tutte quelle comodità che cerchi in una casa subito tua e dove trascorri con piacere quelle poche ore che Lucca ti concede per riposarti. Grazie Sidrak, grazie di tutto.

Dove profumi e colori infondono calma e serenità L’host ci ha riservato un’accoglienza e un’assistenza eccezionali, dal nostro arrivo alla partenza. Chiara è stata sempre disponibile, ma soprattutto Sidrak, persona gentile e sensibile nel soddisfare le nostre richieste. Non sei solo, puoi sempre contare sulla loro discreta presenza. All’interno di un palazzo storico, l’abitazione è meravigliosa, d’altri tempi, arredata con quel gusto e quella classe che ben si sposano ad una città bellissima e unica come Lucca. Non è uno spartano e moderno appartamentino per quattro giorni di vacanza, è una vera casa nobiliare toscana che ti proietta a un bel po' di anni fa e che arricchisce di fascino il tuo soggiorno. Ogni pezzo d’arredo merita attenzione e rispetto. E’ dotata inoltre di tutte quelle comodità che cerchi in una casa subito tua e dove trascorri con piacere quelle poche ore che Lucca ti concede per riposarti. Grazie Sidrak, grazie di tutto.

This apartment in Lucca was an absolute gem. Inside it's gorgeous & spacious and a quick walk away from anything in the walled city. Sidrak sent very comprehensive check in instructions and was quick to respond to any questions I had. The reason this isn't a 5 star review is twofold. First there was a 25 euro a night charge for heating buried deep in the description, which I didn't see and didn't learn about until I got there. While the apartment was still a great deal, these types of things should just be baked into the price and it's annoying to feel like they're sprung on you. Second there were some inaccuracies in the listing. It said there was a dryer even though there wasn't, and one of the rooms that was supposed to have a queen bed had two twins. Despite these two things (which I'm confident will be fixed) I would not hesitate to stay there again and recommend anyone I know going to Lucca to say there.

Location just inside the city walls made everything very convenient for bringing in luggage and for traveling to other areas around Lucca. Very close to Via Fillungo and the major piazzas in the city. The apartment was spacious and very clean. If the显示更多

This fabulous apartment, inside the city walls and just a few minutes walk from Lucca station, exceeded all our expectations. It's always difficult to judge a property from the photographs, but I can honestly say that Palazzo Poggi was bigger, more opulent and more glamorous than we expected. The beds were super comfortable with plenty of bathrooms to go round (with showers that really work!). One of the big surprises were the six bicycles that came with the apartment, in their own off-street garage. A bicycle is by far the best way to get around Lucca - and a ride around the city walls in the early morning sunshine is hard to beat.

The house is well-appointed, close to everything and would be great for large familiesthose traveling with friends. The home is on a street that has a fair amount of bus/car traffic, but nothing that would keep me from recommending it. If you're sensitive to noise, simply choose the quiet 2nd Master Bedroom off the courtyardone of the rooms downstairsmany options!
