Our visit to Villa Petra fulfilled every expectation of a five star resort vacation. Ten minutes outside of Lucca by car and approximately one hour from Firenze, the villa is situated at the top of the mountain in the quaint village of Pieve Santo Stefano, affording everyone lovely vistas of the Tuscan countryside. It was the perfect location from which to visit Pisa, Cinque Terre and the Chianti hills. Our group of four couples spent one week in this lovely home and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We made good use of the kitchen which is very well-equipped and had some memorable meals. Thanks so much to Petra for being an amazing host. We enjoyed her visits and found her delightful. She encouraged us to fill her home with laughter and music and warmly thanked us for doing so. From the welcoming moments to the tearful goodbyes, our hosts were delightfully hospitable, filled each and every request and did so warmly and well. While the photographs on the site present the beauty of the villa, they do not justly reflect the spirit of this authentic and elegantly appointed Tuscan home. We shall return so that once again we can tread the same steps as those from centuries before and imagine what life could be in the Tuscan countryside. Many thanks for a lovely stay!

Petra and the staff were fantastic and did so much to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They truly pay attention to every detail. The villa was super clean and had been tastefully updated with modern kitchen and bathroom appliances, but without losing the charm of a classic Tuscan farm home. The private pool was great and the views of the surrounding hills around the property were beautiful. We wish we had booked it for longer!
